Well, first of all today was a hell of a day. Today was to be our first day riding the public transportation (People Movers) of Anchorage, Alaska. I had looked up routes, times and fares the night before determined to make the next day flow as smoothly as possible. I was scheduled for more blood to be drawn today to see just how anemic I am. We woke, did some minimal house chores, walked the dogs (well dog, Cash is to scared most of the time) ate breakfast, drank coffee, suited up and were off to make a return at Value Village (our local thrift store.) With no watch or cellphone I was in a major rush damn sure Joe and I were going to miss the bus. We didn't. We didn't make a return it's store policy to exchange only. In exchange for a night gown and thermals we were able to get a night gown, a grey sweater and two pairs of pj bottoms for Joe. One of them being Dockers the other South park and got a dollar back! Not bad for $13.00. Anyway, we did that and caught the bus (we were early.) Then we went to the route exchange stop and got on the bus that would take us to the Native American Medical Center. We arrived. Blood was drawn asap and my ass was out the door so I thought that was a waste of day passes. Ah ha! But no, it popped into my head then that we should finally get my broken wisdom tooth extracted. We did, Joe held my hand tight cause I was freaking out. I am all out of anxiety pills by the way. I digress, he held my hand tight and called me a brave little toaster, I cried. But, it was finally done RELIEF! I asked if I could have it they said no. I got prescrips for inflammation and pain. Then we went back to the bus stop, I put down my purse and went to look up the bus and time, when a bus arrived. We hopped on and off to the exchange stop... yes did you catch that? Read it again. I never picked up my purse. All of my psyche meds, ID, birth certificate, social security card with a new job starting on Monday! OH HOLY SHIT! We hopped off the bus and went back on foot, I waddled as fast as I could while Joe ran as fast as he could but he didn't really remember where and couldn't keep me in sight.. Finally, at the hospital we caught up to each other but no luck. I cried again. We went into the hospital that was mostly shut down for the day and were helped to security where like any other dumb ass security guard works we were told sorry no luck. The guard didn't call the other building like we asked so we gave up with a phone call my sister was on her way to give us (fuck the bus) when Joe said forget this and ran over to the other building. Eureka! I heard a WOOOOHOOO! and I hollered back WoOOO! We scared everyone in the parking lot and everything was still in my bag. God bless honest people, God bless my Joe Joe.
