With the wonderful help from "Tracy" of SMUD (our local power company) I was able to find one of the most evil power-gobbling culprits in my apartment. THE REFRIGERATOR!!! Sounds like a name used in the WWE and it might as well be since it's power usage is kicking my ass!! I pulled out my fridge to clean behind it and the coils before complaining to my landlord who most likely will tell me to kiss my own ass and buy myself a new one.... I just noticed, I am using the word "ass" a lot in this post. *sigh*
Some of the energy tips given to me from Tracy were: clean the coils behind, fill your fridge as much as you can even if it's with bottles/jugs of water, fill the freezer as well and turn down your setting as much as you can without spoiling your food. These are all tips I am implementing until Operation Replace Evil Fridge (OREF) sets into action.
