My lovely daughter was nice enough to get me a lovely card, a Dove chocolate rose and a bottle of Calgon body spray in "Pineapple coconut." Which was a nice surprise even though I gave her
the money :) And yes, I did place these nice gifts in front of my skull and cross bones headscarf just to contrast the lovey dovey stuff. I woke up to my Safeway grocery delivery (yes I ordered some food online because my "Mom" is in Hawaii on vacation and couldn't take me to pick up the much needed things like gallons of 2% milk and cubes of Diet Pepsi and I had almost forgotten it was Valentine's day until I saw my daughter's gifts. I had left my daughter a handmade card before she left for school in the morning and this is what the outside and inside looked like - don't laugh.
I also bought her this red Hershey Kiss fondue pot set which she only found mildly entertaining. I had hoped she might want to use it when her friends stay over however I am told her friends really wouldn't be interested in that kind of thing. We did use it after the pb&j stuffed french toast sticks (which she said were actually pretty good.) I melted two Hershey bars in plain with a little milk and we did banana slices, wafer squares and Rice Krispies I cut into tiny pieces. I wasn't quite sure what to dip so that's what I came up with. I must tell you it was really hard for me but I wanted her to use the fondue set so I ate the chocolate and sweets. Ew. I really don't like chocolate or sugary stuff. Overall, the day was nice but nothing spectacular. I stayed in and just did the dishes, no movie or nothing. I did fry the kid a bologna sand which while we watched the season finale of Beauty & The Geek (wasn't it awesome!) Here's to another day done.
