Laundry and Broken Light Bulbs

I've been trying to do things like catch up on laundry, replacing the battery in the smoke detector (too many lives lost here in Sacramento lately during apartments without detectors) and I have been trying to remove three broken bulbs.. it seems my upstairs neighbors jumped around so much they broke my bulbs (no big surprise there.) The potato trick isn't working. It's getting frustrating, everything always breaking or wearing out.. like all three of our DVD players *Grr* But I decided not to be a grumpy gus, it's too much of a gorgeous day for that!
