Okay, now let me tell you a story about a lonely little girl who had no friends and didn't know how to cook.. One day the little girl would come to be known as the Pancake Princess. Just kidding! Although, it's no lie that I have a reputation for not knowing how to cook. Lucky for me, while in the house preparing dinner was a chore. One of my first nights in the house, preparing meat loaf was my chore for the day. Sure, I knew how to make it but not how long to cook it and at what temperature so the meatloaf was late and everyone (over 11 people) stood around in hunger tempted to eat just mashed potatoes (which I didn't make) and veggies for dinner. This sad scene broke my heart causing a panic attack which ended with me crying and missing dinner.
All that changed. I forced myself to cook all kinds of meals from the "Linda Special" as it was dubbed (eggs in a window) to fried chicken sammiches, to biscuits and yes.. Pancakes. I made a lot of pancakes in that house and it became requested. I was applauded on my cooking "skills" and on my last night in the house my chore was ironically, to make meatloaf for dinner. It was successful, there was no tears shed and that is the story of the Pancakes Princess... although, I should probably change it to Meatloaf ?
