Visiting Grandma 23 Years Later

My sister S took me and J to visit Soldotna where we were born and to my Grandmother's house (who wasn't home) but we did get to step out of the vehicle and look around. We visited childhood haunts, it was like a home coming in a quiet sense. The drive down from Anchorage was quite long and required much coffee, Diet Pepsi Max and of course Sugar Free Rockstars (and so did the ride back.)

Then we drove to my cousin Archie's place and that's where all of the family including Grandma was. Grandma will be 90 next year when I turn 33 and bless her heart she made us all cry calling out "Linda my first grand daughter I LOVE YOU!" I have cousins and sisters and second cousins and nieces and nephews or something like that, there is a lot of close and extended family. It was quite overwhelming, I did pretty well though only taking one anxiety pill. We ate ham and potatoes, salad and salmon spread on crackers. It was a birthday party for my cousin's wife's daughter's daughter. Which, I can't come up with a title for, my brain is tired. It was sooo great that J got to see some of the childhood stuff that I actually talk about, he was so sweet to my family gosh I love this man! I bought a snap cam and when I get the pix developed I will upload, now I must soak in a very hot and bubbly tub. Peace.
