Dream Houses

(The Builder of Houses & Dreams - Barbara Olsen)
Some years ago I ordered "Bea's Mini Guide to Making Artist's Journals" - by Keri Smith, it came with a cute magnet and little things like that. Today, I am going to take a journal tip from the mini-guide. I am going to write about my dream house.

When I was a kid:
I dreamt of a two story house with a white picket fence, cheesy I know. It stood against a clear insanely blue sky, clouds were intermittent and torn apart, the grass was thick and green almost gone wild. I had a horse in the yard, something chestnut & gorgeous. The house was the only house as far as the eye could see, because it was just me and my family in this perfect house.

Not Many Years Ago:
I would have taken anything. Most of my life I didn't live in a house or even an apartment. My family was always moving, in hotels, motels, RVs and things of the like. I dreamt for ANY house.

Now:
I would love to have a home to share and leave to my daughter someday. Not a two story because I think they are creepy frankly and stairs daunt me. Maybe, a ranch style place on an acre. Somewhere I could have all kinds of animals because I do love them soo much. Cats, chickens, perhaps a lively pooch and a bot bellied pig. Fish tanks and bird cages. Plants would fill every room. It would be awesome to paint the walls with COLORS. I LOVE color. I love color, plants and pets and above all I LOVE my daughter. My dream home is a place that is safe, filled with love and a place she knows she can always come home too.
