I Woke Up Double Sick

After brushing my teeth/washing my face, taking some Dayquil, morning meds and blowing my nose extra good I feel quite a bit better. It snowed outside and the kids are putting Halloween window clings on the windows, it's nice to have actual seasons for a change. Normally, in Sacramento, Halloween is the time things are finally cooled down and you can relax after a horribly hot summer. Here there is snow on the ground and covering the trees. *Aahh!*

What sucks is having a cold when you just had your tooth extracted and you have facial piercings that you have to worry about getting infected blech. Other than that health wise, I have lost ten pounds! Just since I have came to Alaska, I have also maintained my sobriety! YAY! My medication, stress & drinking had caused me to put on a lot of weight but I see that all changing now. Especially, since I cut chips (which means dip) and bread out of my diet. Here's to a good start of the day (and yes it is 1:14pm here but I slept in - I'm sick remember.)

Visiting the Doctor

Just got back from my first visit at the Primary Care for Native Americans Center after meeting with a doctor and having blood drawn and prescrips refilled. I am not pregnant but I didn't have any reason to think I was either. It's a nice hospital. I will be getting a regular psych doctor and family doctor with a week or so, which is really cool since it's been ages literally since I was seen by a doctor regularly.

On the health note, I am cutting out all breads and chips out of my diet my BMI is crazy. I am scared to see what my labs will say. Yowzer.

Tomorrow, I will walk to the Movie Gallery, yes that's what it's called here to pick up a job application. I hope I have better luck here than I did in California. My daughter called me today, what a blessing! If I talk to much about it I will cry all over the keyboard and the keyboard ain't mine. So I won't. I will just keep it special for myself.
