First of all, thanks to everyone who has come by to wish my health well! It's making a difference just knowing you all care. Some of you may have been coming to my blog long enough to know that I have never been very good at relationships or friendships for that matter. Through much introspection, I have learned I can be quite self centered amongst other things.
In the past, I have often rushed in or missed out on some wonderful friendships/relationships. Currently, I am actually more confused on how TO start, pursue, keep or end these connections. This feeling is also leaking into my behavior with neighbors, interviewers and existing "ships." In fact, it's causing a lot of self doubt. In the past, I had a ton of confidence in dating but a ton of self-esteem issues and now it's all cloudy.
This whole post is really regarding one individual who I am in some kind of "ship" with, it has fluctuated all over the board with a lot of talk regarding wants, friendship, relationships, marriage, children, moving in, dating and quite honestly I am lost. Lately, it seems to hard to decipher what I really DO want out of life and HOW to get it. I never had a mother around to talk to in regards to these matters and wasn't really allowed to date anyhow, so I guess this is my long round about way of asking for some advice.
If anyone has ANY kind of advice regarding friendships, relationships, dating and the fore mentioned please share it with me either via comment or email (it's in the sidebar.) Quite honestly, I need some honest opinions on the do's & don'ts when looking for a long term relationship. Please help! (LoL)

Pan's Labyrinth

OK, so I finally got to see Pan's Labyrinth and WHOA. Wait, I'm getting ahead of myself. Someone nice took me to the movies and paid for my ticket which is really cool for me seeing how it's been a long time since anyone has done that. Deb had mentioned the movie in a blog of hers so I had been keeping my eye out for it ever since.
I didn't realize that the movie was in subtitles but it's OK because I like subtitles and hearing the Spanish made the movie seem more mystical. I was surprised that the theater was packed and it kind of sucked because we had to sit in two of the only seats available on the right hand side of the front two rows and crook our necks back and up just to see the screen. We had to look up to see the pictures and look down to try and read the ginormous subtitles at the bottom of the screen. That's OK, it was still good. But to be quite honest, a lot of it went over my head and I was kind of surprised by that because I am pretty in tune to those kind of story lines.
I loved the scene with the flesh eating monster & the fairies - I won't ruin it for you. It was dark and mystical, I am totally going to buy it on DVD. Tonight, I get to see SAW 3 and I'm pretty excited about that too - yay for movies!

Lions, Tigers & New Friends - OH MY!

Well, there hasn't been very good or up to date posting on my end. Mostly because, I mentioned I have some new work friends and they are very much fabulous. In between work and being a mom here are some of the things I have managed to squeeze in over a few days.
#1. Go out to dinner at TGI Friday's for drinks and appetizers with new friend B after work (while in costume.) We requested the fried mac&cheese but evidently, they were out of mac. The drink menu also changed, I wrote another review on Yelp. Here is my Yelp profile page if you care to read it or any other reviews regarding local establishments.
#2. Go out with larger group of friends to see JackAss 2 again. I loved the movie that much and this time because I knew what was going to happen I could focus on how hot Steve-O is. Oh yes, Steve-O *here's his official website*.
#3. Visit a small dive bar downtown (yelp) with most of friends and a few more, (in costume.) Bought drinks for friends, met the owner of the Sac City Rollers and invited to come practice (rollerskating derby). Spent pretty much rest of night learning the difference between legal and illegal ways of knocking down derby opponent.
#4. Went to a concert with a bunch of same friends, saw: "Zox", "Bedouin Sound Clash" & "FLOGGING MOLLY"!!!!! Got free stuff, got "rushed" from the back and did a little outer pushing in the mosh pit!!
